Delete your FM2Y account

FM2Y (For Me 2 You) is a family memory app from Trimble Digital LLC. You can delete your account and your data yourself, at any time, in any of three ways:

In the app: open Profile and tap Delete account at the bottom. The current version of the app does not ask the questions below: it deletes every timeline you own and leaves your posts, notes, reactions and sealed letters on other people's timelines in place, shown as from "Deleted member". To hand a timeline to a co-admin or to delete your posts elsewhere, use this page or email us.
On the web: sign in and use the form at the bottom of this page.
By email: write to hi@shmo.me from the email address on your account. We complete it within 30 days.

Before you delete

App Store and Google Play subscriptions keep billing until you cancel them there. Cancel in App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. Subscriptions you bought on fm2y.com are cancelled for you, with no further charges.
Signed in with Apple? After you delete, also stop Apple from sharing your details with FM2Y: on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Sign in with Apple (or Password & Security, then Apps using Apple ID), choose FM2Y and tap Stop Using.
Want a copy? Export the timelines you own from their settings first. Deletion cannot be undone.

What happens

Timelines you own. On this page or by email, for each one you choose: hand it to one of its co-admins, who gets it whole (every memory, member and prepaid month), or delete it for good. A deleted timeline loses every post, letter, photo, video and voice note on it, including ones other people added, and letters sealed in a deleted time capsule are never delivered. A timeline with no co-admin is deleted.
Your posts, notes and reactions on other people's timelines (and on the timelines you hand off). On this page or by email you choose: delete them, or leave them in place shown as from "Deleted member". The current app leaves them in place.
Love Tokens. Tokens left in your wallet, and prepaid time on the timelines you delete, are forfeited. Nothing is refunded. Monthly gifts you set up stop.
Your account. Your name, photo, birthday, email and every sign-in (email, Google, Apple) are removed at once, and every session on every device is ended. Your timeline usernames stay reserved so nobody else can take over old links.

What we keep

Payment and Love Token records we must keep for accounting and tax (with your name removed), Stripe's own payment records, support messages you sent us, gifts you sent to other people, and invitations other people sent. See the Privacy Policy for how long.

How long it takes

Your account and data are removed from FM2Y immediately. Photos, videos and voice notes are erased from our storage within 30 days.
